4th of July Barbecue

After our Hike we did things around the house and then Heather and I snuck off to hang out for a while. We went and got snow cones and then went looking for goggles to wear while we went swimming. When we got back Rylee and Avynlea came swimming with us. It was a nice and hot day perfect for the swimming pool.
I had planned on barbecuing hamburgers for dinner and I made a potato salad to go along with it. Later in the afternoon Kefford told me our neighbors invited us over for a street barbecue, we had to being our own meat and a side to share. Perfect since I had all that prepared already. We headed down at about 7:00 and I could not believe the amount of food there was to eat. Someone really likes to host a barbecue and knows how to do it right. It was a great opportunity to meet more of our neighbors and to get to know them better. Michelle Criswell along with her husband John were the hosts and as we were sitting there visiting she asked Heather and I if we would like a tour of her house. We agreed and it was fun to see how they built their house. They have a three story house and the top level is dedicated to Michelle's craft room. It was pretty amazing and I discovered that she owns a stamping business. The things you learn about people...

Once it started to get dark they brought out the fireworks and we got to watch a little bit of a firework show on our street and also see all of the ones going off around town. Kenedy went with a friend to a barbecue and watch fireworks and so we missed her that night as well as Ryker who was still at scout camp.
