Random Phone Pics

We found this jacket at the store and Kefford had to try it on and send my brother Andrew a picture. I think he looks very handsome.
I got tickets a long while ago to go see Les Miserables in September. My sister/BFF Heather said she has always loved that play and that she would fly down for a visit and to go see it with me and Kefford. I was really excited for this planned date until we found out that her work would not give her the time off, we were really bummed. So sense I had an extra ticket I invited Alison, Keffords Mom, to come with us. I took this picture with my phone at the theater and told heather i missed her. The play started and went through the first scene and then suddenly the title of the play flashed on the scrim. I started crying when that happened because I was really sad that Heather was not the one sitting next to me. I got through my emotions and really enjoyed the play. I even enjoyed that Alison and Kefford were there with me.
While waiting for my friend to come and open the dance studio, I waited in the car while cute Rylee decided to have a picnic.
And just a random picture of sweet, sleeping, thumb sucking Rylee

Happy Birthday Elizabeth and Ryker!

This year our birthday started the week before while on out trip to Utah. My sister Erin makes the most amazing and adorable crocheted animals. She texted me a couple of weeks before hand as to what I would like and I gave her my suggestions. I was really excited with my cute kangaroo! She is adorable. Ryker got a Target gift card and Candy bar from his Aunt Erin while in Utah.
The day before our Birthday Keffords Mom came over and took Ryker and I out for a birthday brunch. Ryker was really excited to order a "monster hamburger" while at IHOP. This boy really loves hamburgers!
After Brunch we went to Deseret Book and she had Ryker pick out a few books. He also got a fun stuffed Alligator. She gave me a card and some money which was greatly appreciated!
Thursday, our birthday day this year, is also the day that i take my own dance class. So i left the kids at home and went to the studio for some fun me time. About ten minutes before the end of class the door opened and in walked Kefford with a bouquet of flowers and some balloons just for me. It was so sweet and so thoughtful. He left work to drive all the way to my class so he could surprise me, gave me my flowers and a kiss and headed back to work. I was definitely surprised and had no clue. On my way to class I passed a couple of police cars and an ambulance heading towards the Emmett area where Kefford works. I suddenly started to get worried that he left work early for my birthday and got in a big accident. So I called his cell phone just to say Hi but really to check up on him. He later told me that he did pass a wreck on his way out to deliver the flowers. I was glad that he was kept safe.
For dinner I made Hamburgers for Ryker sense they are his favorite. He was pretty happy!
after dinner came present time
We had to hurry and do presents because we had to go to the church for Rykers pack meeting. I wanted to skip it but Ryker was getting his bear and I promised the pack master I would show up if he promised to bring a cupcake for me since it was my birthday. So off we went to pack meeting. Getting his Bear is a big deal and as part of the awards process I had to hide inside a "cave" with a bear hat on and when Ryker crawled through had to attack his face with markers to look like a bear clawed him. I was super embarrassed but I played along and did what I needed to do.
Afterward Ryker and I both got a cupcake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to us. That was fun! Ket, the Packmaster, really came through and got us some fancy cupcakes. What a great guy!!
Love this boy I share a birthday with and cannot believe he is 10!
I had a really great day this year, I had lots of phone calls and text from family and Friends wishing me happy birthday. My Niece Breana made some really fun and creative cards for me and Ryker. I got cards in the mail and my really great friend Candice came by with candy and a gift card to JoAnns for me. She is awesome! Overall it was one of the best birthdays I have had in a long time.

Five things I love about Ryker

1: He still lets me kiss him even though he rolls his eyes and acts like he doesn't like it. Secretly I am sure he loves it!
2: Is good to his sisters and lets them play with him and his things. He is good also to watch out for them and make sure they are safe.
3: He has a tender heart and really tries hard to do what is right. I see him making more and more good decisions each day.
4: He is a really fantastic piano player. He struggles a lot with wanting to play the piano, bur his practicing is improving and I am so impressed with his talent.
5: I love his laugh and his smile. he is such a cute boy and his smile makes me happy!

Introducing Sara

After Britney the hamster died I promised Avynlea that we would get her a new hamster. As luck would have it a couple weeks later a girl I worked with in the Young Women's randomly asked if we wanted a hamster. turns out their daughter never played with the hamster and they were tired of having it around so she was offered to us. I of course said yes and a couple days later took Avynlea down to meet her new Hamster.
they had already named her Sara and so we decided to keep the name and we were also given her cage and everything with it. Nice bonus since our other cage was broken. Sara is such a sweet hamster, she is a dwarf hamster and we all just think she is so cute. I am glad Avynlea has a new friend and I hope she takes better care of this one!

Trip to Orem Utah

Last weekend we traveled down to Orem Utah for my cute little Nephews baptism. Benjamin was baptized on Saturday and so sad I didn't even get his picture. But we had fun down there despite Rylee and me being sick. Rylee came down with a fever and I got a cold but Emily reassured me that it was still OK for us to come, so we made the drive. It was a nice visit with family and it was fun to see cute little Benny boo be Baptized. While we were there Mom took us to see the apartment that She and my dad and two older sisters lived in. Here Erin is posing in front of the apartment she came home from the hospital to. There is a cool story associated with this building. Mom was in the kitchen doing dishes when she looked out the window and saw the Prophet of the church at that time, President Kimball, crossing the parking lot. She told my dad and he grabbed Erin who was a baby at the time and rushed outside to greet the Prophet. Stephanie was already outside. My dad introduced them and the Prophet patted Stephanie on the head and the kissed Erin's foot and said "Young Lady, you have been kissed by a prophet of the Lord". I always love hearing that story,

The kids really loved playing with their cousins and I really did not see a whole lot of them the entire weekend. here are a couple of pictures I got with the girls. Unfortunately Ryker and Ben were too busy playing for me to catch pictures of.

Happy Halloween 2012

This years Halloween costumes have got to be my all time favorite. Ryker was the first to say that he wanted to be Luigi and when presented with the idea of being Mario Avynlea was all for it. Of course Rylee was thrilled to be Princess Peach. Kenedy decided to be a Boise State Cheerleader so she did not go with the Mario theme which is just fine with me, to each their own! All of their costumes turned out so very cute. I made all four of them and am really happy with how they turned out. These pictures were taken on Oct 27th at our dance studios Halloween dance party. They dressed up and stayed to party while Kefford and I went out to dinner. When we picked them up I was super excited to find out that our little Mario gang won first prize in the costume contest! Yay for us!!! Plus Rylee won the only prize in the drawing they had. She won a pair of movie tickets! Pretty much it was the night of the Petersons at the Halloween party, so much fun!

The night before Halloween I bought some doughnuts at the store and added a little wording to make it a worthy Halloween breakfast.
Everyone was more then happy to eat a tombstone. Rylee especially enjoyed hers!

I also decided to do a little more for our Halloween dinner. I fancied it up a little added some signs and we had a dinner worthy of Halloween! It was a lot of fun to do and everyone enjoyed it!

I realize that I spelled Witches wrong but what can you do? It just makes it more me. :o)

I took the kids to the ward trunk or treat for about half an hour and then we came home and Kefford and I took them around the neighborhood. Kenedy left the trunk or treat with her friends and trick or treated with them. By the time she came home I never even thought to take a picture because she had to hurry to bed...yes it was that late. Sorry Kenedy, We will just assume you got the most candy! :o)

Pumpkin Carving

This year I thought to myself..."Self, I don't want to carve pumkins this year, do you? " and self said to me "actually I don't really want to either" So self and I came up with a genius idea. I said to my kids. "kids I don't want to carve pumpkins this year, so Kenedy and Ryker you will carve your own, Avynlea your dad will help you and Rylee here is some paint, why don't you go ahead and paint your pumpkin." It was all fine and dandy ...

until someone got hurt. Ryker stabbed himself witha knife and Kefford had to glue it back together. After he was patched up Ryker said to me " this is why kids should not be carving pumpkins". Hmmm. Oh yeah and their was some complaining from the older two about not wanting to carve their own. Oh well, Kenedy did great on hers and Ryker got hurt and had his Dad cut his.

All is well that ends well!
