prima ballerina

I finally was able to sign Kenedy and Avynlea up for dance lessons. They have been so excited and already 3 weeks into it and are still loving what they do! I took some pictures of Avynlea in her dance class but didn't do Kenedy. I want to but feel a little dumb taking pictures of her cause she is in the older class and apparently it is not cool to hang around taking pictures. Kenedy didn't tell me that I just feel that way, especially since I am the only Mom who hangs around to watch. But I did get some cute shots of Avynlea. She is adorable and loves to come home and show off what she learned!

Here she is getting a good stretch. Look at how limber she already is!

More stretching going on!

This is the part she loves the best, the leaps across the room. Her teacher is a very good friend of mine whom I have known for 10 years. I danced with her in LaGrande and am actually taking an adult class at the studio from her.
I love dancing and I love watching my little girls discover their own love for it.

I want a cooool rider. A cool, cool, cool, cool rider!

A couple of weekends ago Kefford borrowed a motorcycle from some friends of ours and took me out on one hot date. I have never been on a road bike before and it was a little scary driving down the streets of Meridian and Boise with nothing to protect me from the other cars except, well, nothing! But I got used to it, overcame the fear, put my trust in Kefford and had a really great time!

This is one hot couple!
I'm a stud, oh yeah, check me out!

Rylee!

These two girls get along great and are usually the best of friends. But it amazes me how quickly Rylee has figured out how to "try" to get out of trouble by blaming her sister.
Case in point:

Kefford and I are downstairs watching a movie after putting the kids to bed. Suddenly Rylee and Avynlea come wandering downstairs.

Kefford:(spoken without looking at the girls) Who got out of bed and is going to get a spanking?

Rylee: Avy did!! (immediately turning and running back upstairs. leaving her sister behind)

and while at the farm this occurred.

Rylee and Avynlea were playing with their cousin Ally when Rylee suddenly screamed about something.

Grandpa Bob: Who is that doing all the screaming? (spoken in his lovable gruff voice)

Rylee: Avy did!

Rylee is always quick to throw Avynlea under the bus and it always makes us laugh. She is definitely a quick learner!

Ryker!

This last weekend Ryker got to go by himself to spend a couple days at the farm with his Grandpa and Grandma. He was returned to us Sunday evening and while we were out on our walk this was a little bit of our conversation.

Me: So Ryker I am glad you had a fun weekend but you must be really pooped aren't ya?

Ryker: Umm I only pooped one time while at the farm but I peed about six times.

Me:(Laughing Hysterically) Ok!

What a funny misinterpretation of my comment. But on a side note what a kid for being able to keep track of the amount of times he used the restroom!

California Adventures {part 7} Disneyland!

Right after we got off the Star Wars ride we were walking through Tomorrowland when we saw some Jedis! Of course we had to go over there with Ryker so he could see what was going on. Turns out they were talking about being a jedi and doing little Jedi demonstrations. After the talking they chose a bunch of kids from the audience to come up and receive some Jedi training. Ryker wriggled himself to the front and was one of the kids chosen! YAY!

They all got Jedi robes and light sabers. Of course the weapons were fake so that nobody would get hurt. Ryker was so cute with his little robe. He put the hood on and kept it on the entire time. I think he felt like a true Jedi.

OK so here the hood is off but I promise it was not off for long. At this point they were learning some defensive moves just in case of attack. Ryker was totally into it.

Oh my goodness! Darth Vader showed up along with Darth Maul and some stormtroopers. They quickly huddled the kids off to the side to protect them.

Darth Maul was walking around the edges giving people the stare down. He looked so tough!

Right here he looked at Kenedy who was right next to me. She really tried to hold her own but as he was staring at her she buckled under the pressure and put her head down. It was kinda cute.

Ryker got to use the moves he learned to fight Darth Maul. He was so good and sooo into it. He had his tough face on for sure.

What a fighter!

Darth Vader talked to the kids and tried to get them to come to the Dark side.

Like true Jedis they all refused to be persuaded!

So the bad guys left!

And the hero's were left to continue good.
I loved watching Ryker being a part of all of this and told him how cool it was that he got to fight Darth Maul. He then informed me that That Darth Maul was not real because if he was he would have killed Ryker. hmmm. Well then I told him that the Jedis were real and how cool it was to meet real Jedis. Nope not real either, he told me. They didn't have real light sabers.
So even though he knew the truth he still got into it and still thought it was alot of fun and so cool!

California Adventures {part 6} Disneyland!

Even though we were so sad to leave the beach on Thursday we had some excitement because on Friday we got to go to Disneyland! One of the fun things we did while at the park was meet some of the characters. Now the last time we went, which was when Kenedy was about 4, meeting the characters meant they wandered around the park and when you saw them if you wanted you could go and gather around to meet them. Now they have a special area to meet the princesses and Micky and Minnie. It's a little strange but I guess it works out better?

We actually did meet the wicked Queen from Snow White out i the park. She was a wanderer. It was fun to walk by and suddenly see her. She had quite the attitude and was very condescending to everyone, very in character!

While I waited in the princess line Kefford took the kids to Toon Town to go on some rides, or so I thought. He took them through Minnie's house and then got stuck in a line to meet Minnie Mouse.

He is not sure how that happened but once they got in the line they kinda got stuck there. But the kids liked meeting her.

The same kind of thing happened at Mickey's house. They toured the house and then somehow got stuck again in a line to meet Mickey. The kids liked this also and Mickey even gave Avynlea a kiss on her cheek! So cute!

Disneyland now has a special area set aside called the "Princess Faire". You wait in a line and then a family at a time gets to go in and meet some princesses. I told Kefford I would wait in the hour and a half long line so that he could take the kids on some rides. Well we all know how that turned out. The line actually took only about 45 minutes but once I got to the front I had to let people go ahead of me for 20 minutes because my family had not arrived yet. Finally they arrived and we ventured in. First we got to meet Mulan.

Then we got to see Ariel who is my favorite princess and my kids also.

The third and final princess ( I know only three, it felt kind of like a ripoff) Was Belle. She took a little bit more time then the others to talk to the kids.

She even got down on their level and gave Rylee a hug. It was really cute.
I am glad the kids got to see some of the Disney characters. It was fun to see how excited they were and to still hear them talk about it!

California Adventures {part 5} beach fun

You didn't think I was done with our vacation pictures did ya? :0)
Thursday was a bittersweet day for us at the beach. Bitter because it was our last day but sweet because Kefford was finally there with us. YAY! Here are some pictures of our last day on the beach!

Avynlea had a jolly good time collecting beach shells. She found a bunch and every time she did she would bring it to me and tell me I could keep it. What a sweetie. Most of them were put back on the beach but I did keep a few.

Rylee had fun playing in the water. I was really surprised by how brave she was about the water. She didn't go in a ton but she did do it more then I thought she would.

Oh my goodness do I have some posing models in my family. Avynlea was quite the ham whenever the camera was pointed her way and Rylee was quick to follow her lead. She can even pose with props! I think she might have a career with this.

Two cute little beach babes!

The night before my eye was really bothering me and I kept rubbing it. I finally decided I needed to take out my night and day contacts but I couldn't find my cute glasses I only found my ugly ones. So being the nerd that I am I decided to let it be. Big mistake. I woke up the next morning with a crusted over red eye. I thought for sure I had pink eye. So I decided to look one more time for my cute glasses and I found them! I took out my contacts and there you can see my red eye. Turns out it had a speck of something in it and totally scratched up my eye. If I would have taken out my contacts that night it probably would not have been that bad. But because I was vain I had to wear my glasses for the next couple of days! Boo!!

Keffords here! :0)

Kenedy built herself a little sand castle. Good Job Kiddo!

Rylee digging in the sand.

Ryker lovin the water.

My four little beach babies. We love the ocean!!

Me and my hot hubby finally reunitied!

Rylee and Jaylynn were so cute holding hands right before we had to leave.

Oh these girls are going to be great friends!
