We told the girls they couldn't get up until 7:00 am, nobody was pleased with that because Rylee felt she would be awake much earlier and did not want to lay in bed in anticipation forever and Kenedy and Avynlea did not want to get up at 7, they wanted more of a sleep in. Rylee prepped her room with books and videos so that when she did wake up she had things to occupy herself with. Funny enough nobody woke up and we had to go wake them up at 8. Once they got up they brought their stockings downstairs and opened them in our room all gathered on the bed. Without Ryker there everyone fit all snug and cozy which was not a bad thing but a little sad because I did miss him. Usually after we are done opening stockings the kids would put their stocking gifts back in their stockings and take them upstairs. This year I had bags ready for them to put their stocking stuff in and I had them put their stockings back on the mantle, I didn't want Ryker's stocking to be all alone up there.
I like to take a picture of the Christmas tree with all of the gifts under it before we start the gift opening, it just looks so magical and pretty
I was the picture taker and so there is a serious lack of pictures of me with what I got but I did get a picture of everyone else opening their gifts.
Kenedy received a lap top case
Avynlea got Rylee some clothes that Rylee had picked out on the Shein website, a cute sweater, t-shirt and jeans.
Avynlea got Kenedy a pair of leggings and a mock turtleneck
Avynlea got Kefford a case of Root Beer and a pack of KitKat Candy Bars.

Kenedy picked out some fun items for Rylee that included some organizing boxes, a foot mask and a face mask, it was a lot of fun and Rylee was pretty excited about it all.
For Avynlea Kenedy bought her some underwear that Avynlea has been wanting. Obviously I did not know about this request before I bought Avynlea some underwear. I guess a girl needs her underwear.
I don't have a picture of it but Kenedy got me a skirt and robe from SexyModest the I have been wanting. I was really excited with my gift!
Rylee got Avynlea a tiny karaoke microphone that attaches to her phone, she gave Kefford a meat and cheese pack with cutting board and knife and to Kenedy she gave nail polish. Rylee also got me a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Eye Shadow Pallet.
And I opened an Ariel bag from Avynlea.

Avynlea got some cute Calico Critter dresses for the animals she has and a pack of three babies in ice cream costumes that were just so stinking adorable.
Rylee got a soft jacket/hoodie and also a bomber jacket.

Next Kenedy opened a pair of boots that she picked out and was wanting.
Rylee got a pair of AirPods which she was super excited about!
Beef Jerky and Beef Sticks for Kefford. It might seem like Kefford didn't get really great presents but that was because he was buying new tires for his pickup and he said to not get him anything that that would be his Christmas Gifts. I was not ok with him not having any gifts to open so we got him smaller items.
I got a new iPhone which I am super excited about and of course no picture of it or me but then Avynlea opened a gift which had an Apple Watch in it. She was so shocked and excited about it. She had it on her wish list but never expected that she would get one, so that was a fun surprise.
For Kenedy's big gift Kefford and I decided to play a little trick on her. It was kind of mean but I thought the ends would justify the means. She has been asking for a new phone for a couple of years and we kept putting her off. We decided that she would finally get her new phone for Christmas this year but we didn't want her to suspect anything so Kefford told her she wasn't getting one but we could talk about going in on with her for her birthday. He told her he was getting me anew phone and so when I opened my phone she knew about it and she was happy for me but I could see a little bit of jealousy/sadness in her eyes. When Avynlea opened up her Apple Watch Kenedy was excited for her but I could see a little more jealousy/sadness in her. She was really trying to be a good sport and be happy for everyone which was great of her. Kefford bought Kenedy a pair of pink slippers off amazon and stuck the phone in one of the slippers. He then took my Nike Jordans box and put the slippers inside and wrapped it up. When Kenedy opened her gift she saw the box and was happy that she got a new pair of Jordans even if she didn't get the phone she has been wanting. But when she opened the box she pulled out one of the slippers, not the one with the phone, and was super confused and really disappointed and I could see really sad about not getting a phone and now we played a mean trick on her and instead of Jordans she got slippers. I told her to try on the slippers because I wanted her to find the phone but she resisted and I had to tell her two or three more times to just try them on. Finally she pulled out the other slipper and found the phone, as soon as she saw it she started crying and was really happy. Boy did we put her on an emotional roller coaster and I am so glad that she was happy with getting the phone and not mad at us for what we put her through.

And then Rylee opened her big gift which was a new phone, she was super shocked but really excited about it.
They opened their gifts from their Grandma Bonnie, she gave them candy, $5, nail polish and a cute sticker picked out especially for them.
She gave Kefford and I a box of See's and a gift card to Chili's

Erin had Avynlea and got her the Nike backpack she was wanting

Big Jeremy had me and I got a family picture wall hanging
I made my Mom a blanket for Christmas. I was able to upload pictures of my parents and have them made into material and with the material I made my Mom a lap quilt. Heather FaceTimed me so I could watch Mom open her gift and she loved it so much. It made her tear up a little which was a happy thing. I was so happy with how it turned out and am super glad that she loves it.
Family sent us pictures with their opened Secret Person gifts from us.
Avynlea had Alyssa and she got her an Ariel themed Ring.
Kenedy had Leona and she bought her some books and a cute dress.
Ryler had Josh and he got cozy socks and a book he was wanting.
I had Dillon and I bought him Star Wars legos and a Star Wars shirt.
After all of the gift giving we went out to the farm where we got to see Kylies new baby, Abby and Avynlea took some weird pictures of her Cousins with my new phone.
When Kefford and I were first married we were living in Nyssa so he could work for about half a year. While there Alison started taking me to a weekly sewing class at the church so I could learn to sew. She bought me the material and each week I learned how to cut out and sew together the different blocks. I got all of the blocks done during those six months but then we moved a couple times and had babies and the blocks and material got packed up and forgotten about. When we moved to this new house I found the box of blocks and material and set it in my craft room so I could maybe do something with them. This winter I decided to finally get this quilt done. I cut out strips for borders and edges and sewed everything together. I then took the finished top to the local quilt shot where I picked out the backing and then I had them quilt the top, batting and back all together for me in a fun snowflake pattern. After about 5 weeks they called me to tell me it was done and I picked it up then sewed the binding on it. It was finally done after 23 years and I was so excited to show it to Alison. She didn't know that I started the project up again and I took it out to the Farm on Christmas Day to show her and she was super excited that I was able to finish it. I call it my Mother-in-law quilt because she is the one who got me going on it and I love it and will treasure it always.
Bob and Alison gave the girls candy and $20 each for Christmas and Kefford and I got some money and a big tote box filled with fun treats, games and random things. We had a great Christmas, we missed Ryker but it was fun for him to call while we were in Nyssa so he could talk to some of the family.
