Elizabeth in California

On June 11 my oldest sister was scheduled to get sealed in the california redlands Temple. Of course I wanted to be there and so I took the opportunity to go to California on a solo trip. Just me :o) yay! When my plane landed I was picked up by my best friend/sister Heather. Heather and I always have a good time together and everytime I come I sleep with Heather. We are the best bedmates and we always just lay in bed and talk and laugh. t was fun this trip cause our other sisters would wander in and out and we could have fun with them too So after she picked me up at the airport we went to lunch and had lots of fun talking and laughing. When we got to my Moms house I was happy to see my Mom and another sister Ashleigh. I brought the studio pictures of our dance pictures and I was really excited to show my Mom and sisters the pictures. Mom was tired and not ready to get up from the couch to go look and so while I was trying to tempt her to go and look on the computer I kept waving the cd case around. Ashleigh made the comment about how funny it would be if the cd wasn't even in the case. I laughed a little and opened the case to take a peek inside, when I saw what was inside I started laughing even harder. It was EMPTY! Oh man what a disappointment. I didn't even think to check that the disk was inside the case. Oh well nothing I could do about it.
My other sister Emily and her family showed up from Utah a couple of hours later and once they got there us girls left to go to a girls night out Luau at the church. My brothers wife, Anita, and her daughter, Jaylynn, met us there. We had lots of fun, eating and talking. We all got our picture taken together and we got to make cute beachy type frames to take the pictures home in.
Here is the only picture I took at our Luau. My cutie pie niece Jaylynn. Don't let that sweet angelic face fool you. This sweetie is filled with sugar and lots of spice. I love her big personality!
The next morning while Mom and Emily were baby-sitting some friends kids Heather and I went shopping and then met Ashleigh at the mall.
We found these funky new style of sunglasses that are basically protective eyeglasses covered with sparkles. Not my style but fun to try on.
We also tried on these cute headbands. I actually quite like mine and might maybe mosey on back to the store and see if they carry it here. I think its a cute look. Sometimes I really wish hat wearing could be a tradition here in the States like it is in England. I would totally wear cute hats to church and weddings. Maybe I will start a new trend.
On Friday night those of us who could went to the temple to be with Stephanie and her husband Kirk while they took out there endowments. It was really nice and it was my first time being in the Redlands Temple and I liked having that new experience.
Saturday morning again those of us who could went to the temple to witness Stephanie and Kirk being sealed together. It was a nice sealing and I am really happy for the two of them.
I like to take a picture with me in front of every Temple I go into and so here is little me in front of the Redlands Temple.
And me again practicing my modeling. :o)
Stephanie brought her kids to the temple and they waited outside during the sealing. This is a picture I took with my cute niece Alyssa. She and Kenedy are good friends and close cousins and so I took the picture for Kenedy to see. Alyssa was cute when we first saw each other she ran up to me gave me a hug and told me how much she missed me. I miss her too. I hope the time comes soon that we can have Alyssa come and stay with us for a couple of weeks, that would be lots of fun!
Stephanie and Me
A girl in my ward who has a pretty popular blog once told me the best angle for a self-portrait was to hold it above your face and to the side so here i am trying it out. This is also a good angle to see my fun new hair color. Darker brown with pink streaks. I have always wanted to put pink in my hair but have never been brave enough to do it. Finally I got over being a chicken and I did it. I absolutely love it so much! It is fun and sassy and totally me!
After the sealing and picture taking we went to Stephanie's house for food. While we were all sitting around her kids got out the "Just Dance" game on the Wii and started playing. Of course I had to just dance with them. They had the second one which I have never done before and it was fun with some good songs. After we did that for a long while we headed back to Moms house where Ashleigh and I continued dancing on the Wii. I kept trying to get Heather to dance with me and finally she said she would do "girlfriend" with me but she wanted to wait until I had danced a ton so that I would be tired out. Let me just admit it that I pretty much rock at "just dance". I did have Ashleigh beat me on one or two of them and no matter how hard I tried, and I tried HARD, I could not beat my nephew Jeremy's score on one of the songs, but I am pretty good at this game. So of course it was in Heathers best interest to wait until i was pooped to do it with me. And you know what? Her gamble paid off, she kicked my grill on the dance we did. i was so tired from all the hours of dancing that I had done that I could just not do it anymore. Way to go Heather!
On Sunday we went to church and then Mom invited Stephanie and Jeremy's family to come and eat with us, she also had the missionaries coming..full house for sure. we all know I have mastered the art of the coconut cream pie and i have been wanting to try my hand at making a chocolate cream pie so I offered to make those. I think Emily and Mom were worried that there would not be enough dessert for everyone so they stopped in at Marie callandars and bought two fruit pies. I have to admit I was a little worried that everyone would want the fruit pies instead of mine and so I decided to make it a competition to see whose pies would get eaten first. I had all of this worked out in my head and of course I did not say it out loud cause what if I was the loser? Tragedy! But I shouldn't have worried my pies were far superior to the pies from Marie Callandars. I was the winner with both of my pies being eaten before the fruit pies were even half gone. After I saw who the winner was then I announced to everyone the competition and that I was the winner. :o) yeah!
On Monday I wanted to go to California Adventure. Emily and her family were going for a three day thing and Mom was not sure that she wanted to go, she did not want to be the third wheel on mine and Heather's bicycle, we told her she should come but she hesitated. About the time Heather and I were ready to go Ashleigh emerged out of her room with the news that she found someone to cover her shift and so she was going with us. Yay! When Mom heard this she decided she would come since she was not a third wheel. Sweet! Since us three girls were ready we headed out and Mom stayed behind to get ready and she would come with the Robertson's. Once we got there we headed over to get in line for the new Little Mermaid ride. I was so excited I have always been a fan of Ariel since I saw the movie when I was 12 and I thought a ride dedicated to my favorite princess was long over due.
The ride was super cute and I really enjoyed travelling through Ariels underwater kingdom.
It was a sit down ride alot like the Haunted Mansion in how you get on and a lot like the Alice in Wonderland ride in how it moves you through. So much fun!

After that we went to the Tower of Terror ride. Now I have been to California Adventure before but it was many many years ago. The Twilight Tower of Terror ride was not around when I went those so many years ago. So I have heard many things about this ride and I figured I had a pretty good idea of what to expect.
You know what I discovered I love about the Disneyland Parks? Everything is an experience. You don't just wait in line and go on a ride and then be done. You wait in line and experience everything about that ride. Every ride has a fun and cool story every building has fun and interesting things to look at. Those Disney Imagineers are amazing and if I believed in reincarnations I would love to come back as a Disney Imagineer. I can just see them in their little workshops planning rides and things and getting so excited over all of the details and fun little things they come up with. The Ariel ride line we waited in had seashells in the cement! Who does things like that? Disney does! It is so cool. So this Twilight of Terror ride, of course, had a story and it really made you a part of the ride and not just another rider. I am not going into it because you have to see it to experience it, but it is a fun story. So anyway the ride turned out to be so much better then I could have ever imagined. I came off that ride ready to turn around and go back on, IT WAS SO FUN! Official new favorite ride!
Here is our official Twilight of Terror Picture. At this point in the picture I was laughing with joy and asking if the ride was done.....it wasn't ;o)
We found out Mom and her crew were on the Toy Story ride and about to go on so we waited and I got my picture taken as a toy in a box. I would buy me, would anybody else? :o)
Once the whole gang was together again we went on the carousel ride. Carousels are just plain fun.
After that we stopped for lunch and talked about what we would do next. Emily said they wanted to do The Tower of Terror and of course I was game to go again so off we went.
This picture is awesome! I really would have bought this picture if it weren't for my Moms friend, Heidi whom she met up with at the park, putting her hands up and blocking Heathers face. Booooo. But here we are the whole gang. Check out poor little Isabelle's face, front row in the blue, she was not happy with this ride. She started crying in the middle of it and let us all know how much she hated it. poor thing. Little Benny Boo, bottom row in green, loved it though so not all was lost. Such a fun ride. After that we wanted to do the roller coaster but Isabelle absolutely would not so Mom and her friend Heidi took Isabelle to some little kid play area while the rest of us went on the coaster. Heather, Ashleigh and I already went on it earlier but we were definitely game for going again!
Heather and Me

At the end of the day Ben and I wanted to go on Tower of terror again so we got fast pass tickets for that while Emily and Isabelle went on Soaring over California again. Have I mentioned how much I love this Tower of terror ride? Oh so much!
This is a picture of me with my cute niece Isabelle. When we first met up with them in the park she showed me this cute purple crab that she got and told me to guess what she named it. Um of course I could not guess what she would name this crab so she told me that she named it Elizabeth. How sweet is that? Made my day. I sure love this niece of mine.
I had so much fun playing with my family at California Adventure. The only downer was that I borrowed a pair of flip flops from heather and by the end of the day my feet hurt like my feet have never hurt before. The thong part of the shoe scraped away at my foot and my feet were killing plus walking on them felt like I was walking on sharp rocks.  :o( But I did not let that ruin my day at all. It was a great day.
The next day I had to go to the airport and fly home. It was bitter sweet because I did not want to leave but I missed Kefford and the kids and so I was happy to go home to see them.
Good times=Great memories!

Dancing

Here are some pictures from the recital that Alison, my Mother-in-law, took and burned to a cd for me. There are a ton but it is fun to look at. At least for me it is. ;o)
