I don't even know what to say about this picture except how much it cracks me up. Rylee found these stickers that looked like eyeballs and the rest is history.

If anything else having kids is great for lots of laughing!

Kenedy and her contacts!

So a couple of days after her birthday I took Kenedy out to Weiser for her contacts appointment. It was a little over an hours drive and we went out there because Kefford is good friends with the eye docter,
Dr. Iwasa, and we got a pretty sweet deal. When we got there I took the above before shot and then was told I had to wait in the waiting room because I would make Kenedy too nervous. I highly doubt I would have made her that nervous but whatever I did as I was told but made sure I got a seat where I could still see her. Hahaha, so there! so when I got my contacts it took me a couple of hours to get those suckers in, Kenedy got them in in about twenty minutes...what a pro!

I have to admit I was a little sad to see her give up her glasses, I always thought she pulled off the glasses wearing really well. It sure helped a lot having a Dad in the industry who could get her the newest and trendiest but she is cute enough to pull off any style.

Having said that now I am used to her wearing contacts and thinks she looks just as beautiful. Oh so grown up!

Now she is really wanting to wear make-up, I told her she had to wait until right before she starts seventh grade but I am hoping she will forget. I am not ready for her to start wearing make-up, something tells me she will not be forgetting any time soon!

This is my awesome dinner minus the pizza and drinks. Barely anyone ate the pretzels and chips, but more for me!  

Me patiently waiting (not really) for my guests to arrive. It seemed like forever, but finally one by one they all came.

     

I am opening up Gabbi Caroca's gift which was a purse with lots of candy in it and some pens, stickers, and a balloon. The balloon you couldn't see because Avy had it, but it was a crown and said Princess on it, because everyone knows i am a princess. If you don't then now you do.

Lauryn Warner gave me a super cute hat and sunglasses, Hannah Blackburn gave me a 20 dollar gift cad for Kohls, and Taylor Lantz gave me a 15 dollar gift card for Barnes and Nobel, and a card game (set).

Katherine Nicholes gave me chocolate chip cookies (YUM!) and a 10 dollar gift card for iTunes.

Megan Warner gave me cute socks, candy, and gum.

This was one of the best presents given to me by my mom. I love it because it has California style to it and is super soft.

This is where my mom told me I was getting contacts. I was so happy, but not really surprised for some reason. I had been wanting them for so long and I am so excited.

Yes, Taylor started a dog pile and my siblings joined in. I seem like I am worried I'll get squashed right? Well I'm just worried that my plate of cookies will get smooshed.

I am 12 finally!!!!

 Avynlea is very weird in case you didn't know, and so this is not a weird picture for her, it is actually quite normal. Actually very very normal for her.

 Megan's cupcake in which i loved because mustaches rule the world. Plus the unibrow.

 Freeze dance was the best. Ryker was the music player and he kept stopping it every 5 seconds. he was the main party pooper. Just kidding.

 We are just standing around not really doing anything, but i have my arm out, does that count? Katherine looks like she is annoyed with us! Don't worry she isn't. Go Rylee!

 Rylee is showing off her moves by going all girly. I am looking off some where and so is Hannah, Lauryn, and Avynlea.

Hannah and I rock at dancing though she has a goatee! Hee hee. Avy is watching us and you can so tell she is jealous of our awesome dance moves.

 What is Avy reaching for is the question here. Its kind of blurry, but Gabbi did some pretty good moves. I think she should take dance.

 We did a quick craft and made bows and flowers for our hair. Taylor got really creative at this point. She made things that didn't even look like a shape! We all loved the looped flowers and wore them as much as we could.

 Then we showed off our diva side and did some rocking poses.

My mom bought 6 pizzas! We only ate three. I think she should have gotten less...oh wait, I know she should have gotten less.

Why I love Kenedy

1) She is always willing to talk to me and doesn't hold back when she has something to say. Sometimes this is not so great such as when I have done something she does not like. But I really appreciate her honesty and willingness to talk and I know that communication will continue to be very important in the upcoming years.

2) She is beautiful and I am trying to keep her away from make-up as long as I can. She does not need it at all and has a natural beauty.

3) She is such a good student and really cares about her grades. I love that she loves to learn and that she really tries hard in school. She never complains about going to school and loves all of her classes and her teachers!

4) She is such a good friend and example to others. Kenedy has really good friends and she really cares about them. I know sometimes they have misunderstandings in their friendships but she really tries hard to keep them at a minimum or to solve the problem quickly. She has no issue with apologizing if she is in the wrong.

5)She is really working hard on streagthening her testimony and I anticipate her years in young womens will bring her much growth in the gospel.

legos

Ryker loves Legos and is signed up to get the Lego magazine every couple of months. He thinks the pictures of kids with their own Lego creations is pretty cool and not too long ago he had his Dad take a picture of him with his own Lego creation.

A cool feature with his Lego plane is that the top part comes off and the whole thing then turns into two planes. He is so creative and some day we might send this in to the magazine. :o)

Hey There

Erin came to visit us back in January and while she was here she noticed that Rylee did not have a Book of Mormon to read out of during family scripture study. So Erin bought her one. I think Erin should be happy to know that Rylee brings out her Book of Mormon every time we read together. She loves it and aside from her random drawing on the nice white blank page she has taken care of it very nicely.

Rylee also went to a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and in the goody bag were a nice pair of reading glasses. Rylee kept the glasses with her Book of Mormon and would put them on when we gathered to read. I think she is adorable and feel bad that since then the glasses got broken and thrown away.

Of course Avynlea had to try them on also!
