7 inches of snow had fallen all through the night.
The school district was worried about being able to safely transport all those kids through the snow to school and so it was proclaimed a snow day.
Our first snow day in over two years. The last snow day we had was because of icy roads not because of snow. We don't get a whole lot of snow so this was a big surprise and kind of fun.
Throughout this entire day my kids never really wanted to go outside to play. They stepped out a couple of times to grab handfuls of snow to eat but never to play.
So we just kicked around in our Jammies and had a lazy day. I popped popcorn and put on a movie for everyone to watch.
We watched TV.
Played Nintendo.
and played wii fit on the wii!
We also got a bit of our groove on by playing Just Dance!
The next day after driving around getting errands done I saw lots of yards filled with snowmen. It made me feel kind of bad that we didn't have any evidence of snow fun in our yard. So after the kids got home from school I told them we were going to build a snowman.
Rylee went crazy with the snow angels.

Here is the snowman that Rylee, Avynlea and I built. I think he is rather cute!
Ryker wanted to build a fort but gave up after a couple of minutes and Kenedy started to build a snowman but gave up on that to go inside. So at least some of us enjoyed the snow a little. :0)
