Swimming in Utah

After our fun time at Lagoon Kenedy headed back to Meridian with her Grandparents while I took the rest of the kids to visit Emily. Kenedy got a job at Arctic Circle and needed to go back home because she had training that week. Later on Monday when I asked her how things went on her first day she said she went in and they told her they did not put her on the schedule. So she went home for nothing.
Emily was not going to be back from a Youth camping trip until later that afternoon so we stopped at Ikea to do some browsing and then we went to visit Dustin and Sara and their new baby. I was pretty excited to see baby Evelyn but she was having a bad day and would not stop crying so it was not the best of visits. After spending about an hour with Dustins family we left to go see Emily.
Most of the pictures I have from this trip are from when we were down at the pool. Emily was in a cast because she had foot surgery and was not able to be in the pool but she was a good sport to sit down there with us.

I love these pictures of my girls. Everything about Avynlea in this shot reminds me of my sister-in-law Whitney when she was little. Whitney was about 8 when Kefford and I got married and while we were living in Nyssa she very quickly became my little friend. I loved being around her and was always grateful for her willingness to be my buddy, it made missing my siblings a little easier. Anyway, so much of this reminds me of Whitney at that time, the facial expression, her shoulders and even the way she is holding her hands out.  I think it is fun to see Keffords family in my kids.
I will never get tired of watching Rylee's relaxed face. She is so pretty and always has the sweetest little smile on her face when she is just being chill.

We went to the movies to watch "Finding Dory" while we were in Utah and we all loved the movie, it was so cute! Emily and I took the kids to Win-Co beforehand to pick out some treats to take into the theater and Avynlea got some candy legos. The next day she came to show me what eating a lego did to her tooth, it broke it. I was pretty concerned and took a picture to send to Kefford to see if it was a problem but his response was "cool". I figured it was not that big of a deal since it was a baby tooth and decided not to worry about it.
Wednesday night we had a barbecue swim party at the pool. Andrew invited some of his friends and we all had so much fun. Emily and Isabelle had to check out a little early to go to mutual but the rest of us enjoyed our time eating and swimming.

The guys decided to try stacking on shoulders and they impressively  managed to get up to 4 people sitting on top of each other.

Avynlea loved showing off her diving skills, Ryker had fun being tossed around and Rylee liked playing human ring toss with Matt.

Ben became a human torpedo and we were all excited when they managed to make him go through the ring.
And of course my girls loved showing me their fun tricks

Before I left on Thursday I went to help Emily in her classroom for a bit. Everything had to be stacked up along the walls at the end of the year so the janitors could clean the rooms and so I helped her pull desks and other things out to arrange them back around the classroom. She tore down the tree I did at the end of the year because it was falling off the wall and she wanted to relocate a new one so I helped make a new tree and we got that put up with the tissue paper puff balls and it looked so cute. We were both so excited with how even more cute it looked once we put up some of the Dr Seuss characters she inherited from a friend. Seriously, so fun!

We had such a great time visiting our family and did not want to go even though we needed to get home. Leaving is always bittersweet but I am glad we live close enough to make these trips happen!
