Viva Las Vegas 1

There is a big vision expo that is held annually in Las Vegas every September. Kefford decided to go this year and to take me with him..yay! We have not been to Vegas together since before we were married. We went to Vegas when we were engaged to go to my oldest sisters wedding and had a lot of fun. I was really excited to go back and see it all again.
When we got there we dropped our stuff off and headed to the Vision expo for a little while. Kefford got our Hotel room with out reward points and so we stayed at the Venition. Not too shabby at all.
At the expo Kefford wanted me to take a picture of one of the eye machines thingies. I dont know what it is or what it does but Kefford does and he seemed pretty impressed with it so there you go.

The Venition has a fancy car dealership in it and Kefford wanted to go see all the nice cars since he is a nice car fan. I went even though I am not a fan I am just a fan of being with Kefford.

We went out that night to walk around the strip and that is when I realized how long the strip is. It seems that 12 years ago when we were there I dont remember the street being so long. Either it has gone through a lot of growth or my memory is not so good. We went across the street to look at the Treasure Island hotel. It seemed pretty cool and they were starting a free outdoor show called "The Sirens of TI" so we hung around to watch.

My verdict on this show..bad singing, bad dancing, bad acting, bad script. Oh man, good thing it was free because there is no way they would get any body to pay to watch that show. It was really awful! Not recommended by me to anyone...ever!

After the awful show we walked down to the Bellagio to see the dancing water fountains. It was beautiful and I was so happy that the song the fountains "danced" to was "Singing in the Rain" That really made my night!

The next day we went back to the Vision Expo for a couple of hours so Kefford could see the new vision thingers and make connections. I have to say how impressed I was with all of Keffords knowledge. He knew what everything was and what it was for and it was really impressive to me. One of the booths has a "celebrity" come sign autographs for an hour or so and this years celebrity was an actor from the TV show Entourage, Jeremy Piven. I have never seen the show and was not too aware of who this guy was so I was not impressed. But I guess it was cool for the people who are into him.
Part of our package deal with our hotel room was getting free tickets to see Phantom. When Kefford told me this I was fine with it but not to excited because it sounded like a generic version of "the Phantom of the Opera" But then he told me it was the real Phantom just a little bit of a shorter version and that The Venition has a permanent Phantom theater for productions. Once I was told this I got pretty excited, so we took a break in between staring at eye machines and went to the ticket counter to get out tickets.
Kefford wanted to see more cars and so we went over to The Wyn which has a Ferrari Dealership inside its doors. The ticket price was more then Kefford was willing to pay and so he just looked through the windows and we went and wandered around the gift shop.
Then we walked around The Venitions shops in their fake outdoor villa. It is pretty cool how they have it painted to look like you are outside, I admit I caught myself fooled a couple of times.
This guy was actually sculpting s heads out of clay. Kinda like the caracature drawings but with clay. It was really cool to watch him work.
Another deal we got with out package was a free ride in the gondola. That was a lot of fun. Our gondola driver was really sociable and sang lots of italian songs for us.
Then we did some more wandering around outside on the strip.
Then the time had arrived to go see Phantom. I was really excited and the show did not disappoint. It was amazing, even Kefford really enjoyed it. I loved everything about it and was so happy we had the opportunity to go see it!
Pictures of our hotel room.
On our final day we walked down to the Bellagio to see the dancing fountains again before we had to go to the airport. We waited for about 45 minutes with nothing happening and so we gave up and went to wait for our airport ride.
While we were waiting on the bench a girl randonly came up to us to tell us how cute we looked sitting there and asked if she could take a picture with our camera because we looked like a postcard. We thought it was funny but let her do it.
I had a really good time on this short trip to Vegas with Kefford. It was some much needed time away and was filled with a lot of fun togetherness!
