Heather and Jackson Get Married

Staying the night with Heather was really special with it being her last night as a single Lady. I was on the phone with her a couple of weeks prior and we were talking about her being married and what life was going to look like. She mentioned that she probably would not be able to come as often as she had been able to in the past most notably at this time that she was not able to come to Rylee's graduation and it made me tear up realizing just how much in our lives were going to be changing. Heather has always been a rock for me and has been at every big life event within my family in recent years, graduations, weddings, thanksgivings, and in that moment I recognized just how much I depended on knowing if anything that at least Heather was going to be there. I am so, so happy for her in finding Jackson and have loved being a small part of their journey and I wouldn't want anything else for her at this time then to get married but there is a pang in my heart knowing that things will be changing. In the midst of my sadness while on the phone with her I also came to the realization that it now could be my turn to be for her what she has always been for me and it made me happy that I can be the support and rock that she needs and will need in this new phase in her life.

When we woke up I exercised and then showered and got myself ready-ish so that I could do heathers hair. Kenedy, Kefford and Rylee flew in to Ontario the night before and Kefford brought the girls in the morning to join the fun and so Kenedy could do Heathers make-up. I had an idea for an up do that I was wanting to do in Heather's hair but it was not looking like how I envisioned it so I scrapped the idea and instead did something different that looked much better. Stephanie took photos of me doing Heathers hair which I appreciated because I normally do not have that happening.

After I got dressed and everyone was ready it was time to check out and I went with Heather to the church where the reception was going to be at to do touch ups and help her into her dress. She and Jackson were getting married at the beach and so we stayed at the church primping, helping set up and waiting for the time to leave.

Close to wedding start time we headed to the beach for the first look. I had heather wait in the car while I got Jackson situated. I told him what to do and how to react and then we had Heather come up and tap him on the shoulder, he turned around and saw her for the first time which was really sweet.
Jeremy walked Heather down the aisle and the Bishop from her ward did the ceremony and he did a really good job, I really liked it.
After the wedding we took pictures and then headed to the church to get ready for the reception. It was really windy at the beach so the pictures were not the best.

Ashleigh made the cake for Jackson and Heather to cut and it turned out really cute. For dinner we had fried rice and Orange chicken catered from Panda Express supplemented with salad, egg rolls and cutie oranges. We got cupcakes form Sams Club for dessert.
Jacksons friends looked up traditional wedding things from Jacksons Hungarian Culture and from heathers Mormon Culture. From Hungary they found a tradition of throwing coins at the Bride and Groom and them having to sweep them up which was fun. From our Mormon Culture they found green jello...yep...they Brough green jello to represent Heathers Culture.

Jackson did a Mother/Son dance with his Mom and then Heather did a dance with our brothers. We started with Jeremy and then had Joshua tap him out and dance with her and then Andrew was last to tap him out and dance with Heather. it was really sweet and made me a little emotional. I love this picture Mallory snapped of Jeremy and I watching Joshua and Andrew dance with Heather.

We had lots of dancing and then Erin caught the bouquet and Fredrick caught the garter. Fred had no idea what was going on and thought the garter toss was a little weird.

Jackson loves dancing and being at party and could have stayed and danced all night with his Bride but the DJ wanted to go home and at about 10:30 the DJ left and then Mom, Erin and I waved the Bride and Groom off, everyone else left long before. I was exhausted and grateful that Erin was willing to drive Mom and I home.

The next day was the Temple Sealing for Heather and Jackson. I went with Heather to help her get changed and then I went to grab Mom who was in the waiting room with all of the other guests, I thought she should be a part of helping Heather. It was really sweet to be in the Brides room with Mom and Heather and I really loved watching Jackson and Heather get sealed. Mom and one of Jacksons friends were the witnesses. After the sealing everyone was talking about how hungry they were and that we should all get food but nobody was doing anything about it. So I finally called a few places and found a place that was willing to fit in our big group. We went to The Islands and had were seated at different tables but in the same section.
It was a good wedding weekend and I am so very happy for Heather and Jackson
