Chaparral Senior Walk

I love the Senior Walk tradition and love that it was now Rylee's turn to go back to her elementary school and walk through the halls as a High School graduate. It was a little surreal because when Kenedy did her Senior Walk Rylee was in Fifth grade and able to watch her big sister walk the halls. Now it is her turn and as much as I love it and am so proud of her it did make me emotional and feel some feelings.
They did a Chaparral time. machine and had the Kindergartners walk in on one side and had the graduates walk out the other. I had seen this done on social media and loved that they did it for our kids. it was so cute and made me cry a little.
After the walk the Seniors were allowed to roam the school and visit classrooms and past teachers. Rylee saw her Kindergarten teacher Mrs Leach and her fifth grade teacher Mr . I knew I had a picture of Rylee from Kindergarten with her teacher and when I got home I was able to find it and it was fun to see it and compare the two pictures.

It was fun for Rylee to reconnect with her past classmates since she has not seen most of them since the fifth grade. We got pictures of some of the kids in front of and then inside the library. It was funny to hear how tiny the library felt to them now that they were big grown up seniors.
After making the rounds inside the kids headed outside where we got more pictures and they relived more memories. It was a fun walk through the past for them all.

After Rylee had her fill she came home with me to change for her Lacrosse game and then hurried to meet up with her Chaparral classmates where they had gathered at a restaurant to talk and reminisce. She had only a little bit of time with them before she had to get to her Lacrosse game but she made the most of her time and had fun.

It was a rainy day but I loved seeing the rainbow while I was sitting in the stadium waiting of 4th game to start. Owyhee played Middleton and we won which made it a very fun game!
