Kenedy and Ty came for the weekend and Kenedy wanted to sleep with Rylee in her bed but didn't want Ty to feel left out so he got an air mattress on the floor. Kenedy took this picture of Rylee and Ty after she had woke up.
During our Black Friday shopping I was able to go into Athleta and use the gift cards I got of Amy birthday. I wanted to get this one piece outfit but they did not have my size in store. I was able to order it though them at the store and when it arrived I was happy to see that it fit and looked good.
Many years ago Mallory and Joshua were visiting and Mallory had to buy a bottle of Sriracha for a recipe she was making. She only needed a little bit but could not find a small bottle and had to buy this big one. They do not typically eat Sriracha and knew that I did so they left the bottle here with me. I finally used the rest of it and sent a picture to Joshua and Mallory letting them know it was the end of an era.
The youngest YW group had planned a favorite things gift exchange and wanted Kefford to come and be a part of it and also give a little spiritual thought. Kaylee Griffith is over the younger girls and she is who invited Kefford to come, She also thought it would be funny for the girls if Kefford borrowed Paul Lewis's Buddy the Elf costume and came dressed up. Kefford was not super exited about that idea but he went along with it and came in costume. The girls loved it and I think it showed a fun side of their Bishop that hopefully makes him more relatable and approachable for them.
Our neighbors across the street are an older couple and the husband has a lot of health issues one which is Parkinsons. One morning we saw a firetruck and ambulance outside their house and wondered if everything was ok. Rylee and I were watching from our front window and were a little taken aback when we saw Kefford across the street talking to the first responders and then the wife who lived there. Of course Kefford was over getting the scoop on what happened but it was more than just being nosy, he genuinely was seeing if there was anything he could do to help. The Husband was in the hospital for a couple of days and then came back home. I think it was issues relating to his Parkinsons and I hope he stays feeling well.
Our Ward Christmas party was a Night in Bethlehem planned and organized by Arin Lamb. I let her know early on that I was willing to help and I was put in with Jeni Lindley who was in charge of the cookie booth. I helped set up the morning of and get the booth all ready and I also baked cookies and took a shift in the booth during the party. It was a dress up kind of event and Kefford found a bathrobe at goodwill that worked for him while I found a sheet to cut up and tie around me. I was not in love with my look but at least I tried, lots of people didn't bother which is a little annoying. I baked two kinds of cookies a peppermint crunch one and then a cherry chocolate chip one. Both were recipes I have never done before and the peppermint crunch one was so yummy while the cherry chocolate chip one was a miss. Oh well, I tried and no one knows that they were my cookies ;)
