another gross post

On Friday Rylee was playing outside with Ryker when all of a sudden they both came in Hysterically crying. Ryker came in first and in between his crying he kept saying how sorry he was and that he was for sure going to get grounded. He had some blood on his face and I started to get a little worried. Rylee then came in and when I saw that something happened to her thumb I had Kefford come down to assess the situation..

Turns out that Ryker accidentally slammed Rylees thumb in the playhouse door which caused the entire nail to pop out, root and all. It is still attached to one side of the finger but the ENTIRE nail came out at the bottom. Poor Ryker was so upset by what happened he had no idea that he was scratched on his head and does not know how it happened. He was just really upset about what happened with Rylee. I told him it was an accident and while it wasn't his fault he still needs to be very careful.

Rylee now has a band aid on her thumb and she is very careful with it and totally babies the finger. This nail is going to take a looooong time to grow back!
