Saturday night we went to watch Newsies. I had just seen it in Idaho and am not a big fan of the Broadway version but we had tickets and going with my sisters would be fun regardless. I tried to take a picture of us in our seats but my reach wasn't long enough so I had Emily give it a try. She did better but for some reason all of us were out of focus except for her...weird.
After the musical wee got pictures and then headed home. I was in the car with Heather, Mom and MaryBeth and MaryBeth disclosed that she had never seen the original movie. I was shocked and felt bad for her that she was missing out on such a great movie. I told her she really needed to watch it and then I put my phone on Heather's bluetooth and played the Newsies Soundtrack the entire way home. I sang along and felt a little bad for all those who had to listen to my really bad singing but not enough to stop me, hahaha.

A couple of months ago Paul Sanford messaged me on Facebook saying that Sheryl wanted to get ahold of Mom and could he get her number from. me. Paul and Sheryl were our neighbors on Alone street and Sheryl was Moms best friend for a long time. She was a big part of our childhood, any time we needed stitches or had broken bones Mom would call Sheryl. She was who my Mom turned to for help and was at our house a lot just visiting with my Mom. Sheryl and Paul had 3 boys Jessie, Joey and Jamie, they were Jeremys, mine and Heathers ages respectively and were our best friends in elementary school. We loved their family and were really sad when they moved.
Sheryl got a hold of Mom and they made plans to get together on Monday which was fun because Emily and I were in town and able to be a part of the reunion.
Paul and Sheryl came to moms house and brought Jamie's wife and their two boys with them. We were able to hang out and visit there for a bit and then we went to lunch at a Mexican restaurant, Alejandros. After lunch we all headed back to Moms and visited for a couple more hours. It was fun to catch up on our lives as well as share memories of our days on Alona street. After they left Mom was looking for her purse and realized she left it in Sheryl's car, she rode with them to and from the restaurant and it got left in their car. We tried calling and messaging them but they did not see the messages until they got back to Jails house which was about an hour away. mom felt really bad and said she would drive to them to get it but they said to let them rest for about an hour and then they would bring it to her. The entire family came back an hour later and they brought Jamie with them which was super fun to see him again. They stayed and visited with us for another couple of hours before they left to go back for good. It was a good visit and a good day reuniting with friends.
