Senior Parking Spot Painting time again and this time we have Rylee who is starting her Senior year! Rylee got up super early to head over to the High School to get in line to get a parking spot. The parking spots were first come first serve and were being assigned starting at 9 so there were kids that slept in tents, cars and chairs overnight to get their prime parking spot. By the time Rylee got there at 6 there was already a long line but she was able to get in with her friends and when it was their turn they were able to get spots next to each other by the football stadium which will be nice when Lacrosse season starts. Once we finally got Rylee's spot we prepped it the best we could and then Kefford and Rylee put down the background color.What was nice about Rylee's design and colors was that we were able to use the paint leftover from Avynlea's parking spot painting. Avy had primary colors which we were able to mix with white to make the colors needed for Rylee's we only had to buy a small amount of paint for Rylee's which was nice.
I did all of the lettering while Kefford and Rylee focused on doing Phineas. I thought the end result was so good, Rylee did such a good job sketching out and painting Phineas and I was really proud of my lettering job. The only thing we would have done differently was centered Phineas better within the parking spot. he is a little high up which left a big gap on the bottom. I love it though and am so proud of all of us, especially Rylee, for doing such a fantastic job. We also finished that day which was extra nice. A lot of people had to come back another day to finish their painting.
