Visiting Aunt Jeri

 Kenedy went with Isabelle to comic con and they dressed up as Thelma and Daphne from Scooby-cool They both look so cute and did a great job putting their costumes together.

I wanted to make a visit to Simi Valley to see Aunt Jeri while I was in California, it has been a couple of years and I was over do for a visit. Ashleigh wanted to go with her kids as well as Mom so Ashleigh drove her car since it has the car seats for the kids, Mom was in the passenger seat and I was squished in the back seat between the two carseats for the two hour drive there and back.  It was not the most comfortable of drives but it wasn't horrible. The drive home took longer because we were in going home traffic and so for part of the drive we each said nice things about all of our siblings, Mom, Atticus, Abigail and Me. It was nice to put those nice thoughts out in to the universe and I hope everyone felt a little bit of love even if they were not there and did not know we did that.

It was a good visit with Aunt Jeri but it was pretty evident right away that she is starting to show signs of Dementia. She repeated herself a lot, got confused over little things and even asked who Mom was at one point. It was really sad to see her this way but I am so glad we took the time to visit her before it got worse.

Jeremy and Aiden get Married

Towards the end of September I went down to California to spend some time with family but mostly so I could go to Little Jeremys wedding to Aiden. They did an outdoor civil ceremony and had Atticus as a ring bearer and Abigail was their flower girl. They both did so good at their parts and looked so cute. We had appetizers and played games and talked after the ceremony while the Bride and Groom took pictures and then wed had a sit down dinner and then dancing. I had a lot of fun dancing and eating and visiting. They had cupcakes for dessert and the pistachio one was delicious and I wish I could have had more but those went really fast. I am super happy for Jeremy and Aiden and am so glad I was able to come down for their special day.

So Many Good Things

Now that I am an empty nester I have a little more time to do projects that I want to work on. I saw this duffle bag at one of the quilt shops in Utah and I thought it was so cute and I wanted to try my hand on making it. I bought all of the stuff I needed and I got to work on it. First I quilted the material on my machine and then I cute it out and by following the pattern I was able to get it done. It looks so cute and I am so proud of myself for how well it turned out. There are a few mistakes, hopefully only noticeable to me. I really love it and am excited to use it!

I went to Bryn n to get my nails done and I had her take off the cute polish from August and since it is September I had her do a fun Halloween design. It is close enough to October and I love spooky so I did Halloween.

We have been wanting to get a new Traverse and Kefford has been looking around at different dealerships to fine a new 2026 Traverse in the blue color we wanted. He finally found a dealership in Fruitland that had one coming in fr9om somewhere in the East and they called to tell us it had arrived as we were driving home from dropping the girls off at school. We were selling our current Traverse to Carmax for a really good price and as soon as we got back from Rexburg we took that in, sold it, and then headed to Fruitland to get our new Traverse. It was really exciting picking up our new car. I told Kefford he should drive it home but he insisted that I do it and after being shown how to work the gear shift I drove off. I really love our new car, the blue color is beautiful and it is really fun to drive. After having it home for about a week Kefford had me take it in to get the windows tinted and I sent him a picture when they were done so he could see how it looks.

Our Ward did an Adult Progressive dinner and we had appetizers at the Hams house and the Edwards house and Dinner at the Wards. The Wards had an Italian theme going on at their house complete with an Italian dinner and they had it decorated on theme as well. They took our pictures in front of their poster of the colosseum which was fun. The Edwards had an Axe throw that they had everyone try their Han d at and I did the best job of everyone there which made me super happy and proud. Dessert was a the church with everyone, it was a good activity and a fun night.

Kenedys employers let her use their timeshare in Aspen for the weekend and she invited her sisters, Ryker and Anna and Yardley to come along and be with them. They all had such a great time and really enjoyed the time together. I was a little jealous that I couldn't be there but I am so glad my kids got to have time together.

Avynlea and Rylee took a picture at one of their devotionals and sent it to me. I just love them and am forever grateful they get to spend this time together.

 I drove down to Rexburg in the morning with Avynlea and Rylee in Avynlea's car filled with stuff and Kefford came later that night with the back of his pickup filled with their stuff. Avynlea got a little too speedy on the highway and got pulled over by a policeman, luckily she got away with just a warning but I definitely kept a closer watch on the speedometer after that.

Avynlea and Rylee both got apartments in the Cedars, they wanted to be next to each other but have their own separate space so we got them apartments right next door to each other and they both went into it not knowing any of their roommates. We spent the day getting them checked in and unloading the stuff we brought in Avynlea's car which wasn't a ton. We ordered groceries to be delivered and then had to go on a hunt for them because they got delivered to the Mens Cedars. In the evening we went over to Danny and Angels ricks house where we were staying the night. Kefford arrived later that evening and we all had fun being together and playing Mario Kart. 

The next day we sent back to their Apartments and continued to help them move in and get organized. We also went to the campus to find Rylee's classes and get their books.

While the girls were occupied with doing their own things Kefford and I went and got some lunch at Subway and then headed over to our old stomping grounds, his apartment building Delta Phi and my apartment building Heritage Manor. Now my building is co-ed which is wild to me but we have lots of good memories being back at where we first met, dated and fell in love.

Pretty shortly after this we went back to the apartment to give the girls hugs and we headed out. I am so mad at myself for not getting a last picture with them but they sent me a picture of the two of them going to church. I love these two so much and will miss them too much. I am happy that they have each other and I know they will have so much fun going to school together.

Kenedy went to an influencers event in Utah and met Layla and Whitney from the Secret Lives of Mormon Lives which was really exciting for her
