Spring Break Adventures 7

This is the final part for our Tree House museum posts and I think the part we all enjoyed the most! They had a little pantomime theater where we were able to go and watch this guy perform using pantomime. The big demonstration on this particular day was wind and how you can use your body to make it appear that there is wind. After he demonstrated he picked some kids to come on stage and try it out.
Here Ryker and Isabelle are being taught how to make it look like it is very windy outside.
Whoa that wind is really blowing Ryker back!
Hang on to that pole dude, you can do it!
Ohh it was a very strong wind but Ryker managed to run in!
Oh oops now it is blowing Isabelle and Ryker back!
Kenedy then got to go on stage and be part of a tree. They had to show how the wind affects the trees movement.
And finally Avynlea and Ben got their chance to perform. The tall girl is a big tree and all of the little kids were leaves hanging from the tree.
Rylee went up for a second to be a leaf but then got tired of it and got back down.
They were hanging on really tight but as the "wind" started to blow they were supposed to let got and tumble to the ground. Well all of the kids played their part really well, except Avynlea. This kid would not let go and tumble down. All of the kids were tumbling down and we kept encouraging Avy to do the same but she would just smile, shake her head, and stand her ground! She was a very strong leaf!
Ben stood his ground also but eventually the wind was too much and he tumbled, where he was raked into a pile and then burned with the rest of the fallen leaves. But not Avy she was that one stubborn leaf left on the tree!

Spring Break Adventures 6

I told you that the TreeHouse offers many, many opportunities for playing dress-up, and here was where some of us got really into it.
King Ryker on his throne!
Here I am with the handsome King trying to win favor!
There was a little theater in this area and Ryker was set on doing a performance!
He got Me and Jenna involved! But who could resist turning this into a fun runway? Surely not I! :)
I really didn't ruin Rykers fun he gave up on the production and sat down telling us it was our turn to perform. So I did what I knew best!
Then of course comes some more modeling!
And a little bit more.
Clearly this place is not just for kids. :)
This was a really neat quote that was on display!

Spring Break Adventures 5

Still at the TreeHouse...
So Rylee must have gotten tired of trying to escape and decided to take a little rest.
She had fun coloring but then took a handful of capless markers to walk around with and unknowingly colored on her outfit!
Isabelle and Avenlea playing in the dolls room. There were a lot of dolls on display that were all from one Lady's collection. It was kind of fun to see the different types of dolls.
Kenedy taking another break.
Rylee before the coloring of the shirt. This is where she got the drawing tools from.
Well hello there.
Ryker and Kaia on the Fire Truck. This museum was filled with many different dress up opportunities. We all thought that was so cool!
Kaia and Ryker catching a beat on the drums.
All together now!
Benny and Rylee playing their own version of checkers.

Spring Break Adventures 4

I had anticipated out arrival and visit to the Tree House museum to be very orderly. Like most places we go I would have complete control and the kids would stay by me as we wander around this unknown place. Ha! So not the case. As soon as we entered the doors the kids were
G-O-N-E! I really tried hard to keep track of them but it was really difficult.
Rylee kept escaping..
To go up and down these stairs! There was another Mom at the museum who kept informing me that my baby was gone...again. She told me that I was a bad Mom for not keeping better track of my little escape artist. OK so really she didn't but that is how I felt.
I took little Miss Pee-a-lot to the bathroom and we got a kick out of the little toilet and sink she used. This is my friend Jenna. It was a lot of fun to see her and catch up on what was happening in our lives!
Ever the goofballs!
The kids sailed away to explore other worlds and when they got back...
Ryker became President...
Then Rylee became President...
Then Avynlea became President with Rylee as her adviser... Then Kenedy got a crack at being President! Let me tell you they were stupendous! The US was never better then when these four cuties were in charge!
I don't have a picture of it but something funny happened while at this museum in Ogden Utah. Right after we walked in and the kids ran away I had this little person run up to me. I looked and then did a huge double take because standing there right in front of me was little Davis Woodward. For those who don't know the Woodwards are friends of ours who also happen to live in our Ward here in Meridian Idaho! They were also in Ogden visiting family. It made me happy to see them there also, unfortunately, they were on the way out!

Spring Break Adventures 3

On Thursday we met up with my childhood friend Jenna and went to the Tree House Museum in Ogden. I took the bulk of the pictures at this place and so this day will definitely have to be split up into different posts.
It was this day that Kenedy really started showing signs that she was not feeling good. Normally these types of places she really enjoys but since she felt really awful she did a lot of sitting and laying around while the other kids played.
Ever the cuddle bug, Rylee couldn't resist snuggling up to her sister.
This was a big chair shaped like a Grandma that read you a story when you pushed a button. The idea is cute but it was really kind of creepy!
Here are Avynlea, Jenna's daughter Kaia, and Isabelle in the window of Grandma's Cottage.
Rylee, Avynlea and Kenedy.
Avynlea taking care of her little baby!
Then Rylee got a hold of the baby so she could give it some loving!
Rylee playing house. Oh what a happy day!

Spring Break Adventures 2

Wednesday night Emily had the three of us signed up to go to a MaryKay Makeup night. So we left the kids in the capable hands of her husband (with Kenedys help :) and away we went.
Here is our lovely before.
And a closeup of us before.
And ta-da... here is our way fierce after!
This was the favorite picture. See how we all command the shot...so fierce!
I wet my face to wash the make-up off and decided to pose for some shots like this. It wasn't until I looked at it here that I realized how Gothic and scary it looks. Sorry guys, just scroll back up for the pretty shots!
The girls hosting the make-up night seemed to really enjoy us and we had a lot of fun playing with all the make-up.
A good time was had by all!
