Aladdin!

Kenedy sent me this screen shot she took of a snapchat that Shelby Lorcher sent to her. It made me smile and it kind of does look like if could be Kefford and I from a distance.
Rylee has been really anxious to watch the new Aladdin live action movie and we were finally able to do it. I told her and Avynlea they could invite their friends and Rylee invited Serena while Avynlea invited Madison and Sadie.
We stopped at WinCo to get some treats per tradition and then got to the theater with plenty of time to get the best seats in the back.
The movie was so good! I loved it and definitely want to watch it again. I love how they stayed true to the original movie year but put their own spin on it. I thought Will Smith did a great job as the Genie and loved the story line they gave him. They had a couple of new songs and Jasmine's new song was the Best, it gave me chills and I thought it was so good!

When the movie ended we stopped in the lobby to get some pictures and then head home.

I took a selfie of me with the movie poster but Avynlea didn't think that was good enough so she took my phone and snapped another picture of me.

Verona Ward Bishopric Swim Party

The day we went to Nyssa for Bailey being set apart an Elder we first went to the Verona Ward sacrament meeting. Danny Ricks was being released and a new Bishop was being put in, they also split their ward again. I did not know these things were happening and it was fun to be there to watch it all happen.
Renn Lamm planned a BBQ and Pool Party for the outgoing Bishopric and the new Bishopric and we were invited because we are friends with all of them and Kefford was a part of the Bishopric when we were in the Verona Ward.
They have a pretty awesome set up in their backyard and we had such a fun time! Brother Alberts is their new Bishop and it was fun for them to be there because Avynlea got to be with her friend Shaeden again. They got to be really good friends when we were in the Verona ward but haven't seen each other too much because of the split and them not going to the same school. I enjoyed visiting with my friends from the Verona ward and really love the friendships I have with these women. I don't see them all very often but it is nice to feel that friendship whenever I do see them.
Shaeden and Avynlea

Avynlea really wanted to do a flip off the rock but was a little nervous about doing it. It took her a little bit to get the courage but she finally did and it was fun to see her flipping out. I didn't get the flips on camera but they did happen :)
A cheerleader just has to do her toe touch any chance she gets!
We found out that Shaeden tried out and made the JV team at Rocky which is really exciting. I love that she and Avynlea are both on the JV cheer team at their schools and will get to see each other at games and competitions.
Rylee was really enjoying the hammock and spent a little bit of time enjoying some alone time.

Happy Birthday Kefford

Kefford is 43! Man we are getting so old, I don't even want to talk about how old we are getting and how fast the years are going by.
Avynlea gave him a plant she potted while in Emmett and then we gave him the rest of his gifts.
A card with money from his Mom, A case of root beer...
A bag of M&M's and a new swimsuit
He had cupcakes for his birthday treat which were super yummy. I bought them from a friend of a friend who is raising money for something and it was worth the price which was pretty cheap, they were so good!

Kenedy put up some pictures on Instagram in honor of her Dad's birthday and called him later that evening.

5 things I love about Kefford:

  1. I love watching him be a Dad and how much he loves each of our kids. He absolutely does not have a favorite he loves doing anything with any of them and that is one of my favorite things about him.
  2. I love that he was willing to do a Disneyland trip this year. Disney is not one of his favorite places but he knows how much I love it and that it is special to me and I love that he was willing to go and have fun. He helped make the trip fun and I know he had a really great time. I love that he could have a positive attitude about it even though it might not be his first choice of things to do or spend money on.
  3. I love that he is a more social person and encourages me to meet new people. It is hard for me to be social but I am glad that he helps me come out of my shell. He makes me a better person because of it and I appreciate that.
  4. I will always love how hard working he is. He is a good example to me and the kids for his willingness to work hard and provide for the family. He does a great job of working hard.
  5. His testimony and dedication to the church is another one of my favorite things about Kefford. He is a great example of being Christ like and I love how dedicated he is to his callings. He is such a good example and has helped me be a better person.

Birthday Party and Mini Golf

Rylee was invited to go to Kinsey Bjorn's birthday party and Ashley Bjorn sent me some pictures of their fun! They played games, ate food, watched movies and had a grand time. When I picker her up after the party Ashley told me how polite and respectful Rylee was and how impressed they were with her positive and fun attitude. She said she was welcome back to play any time and there were some girls at the party who were not. Yikes

While Rylee was at her party Kefford and I went on a triple date with the Lamm's and the Rick's. We went out to eat and then went to play mini golf. We had a really fun night with our friends and are going to miss the Rick's a lot when they move.

Dance Party and Injuries

I have had lash extensions on my lashes since December and I have really loved them. Because I have had them on I haven't felt a need to wear makeup and always felt pretty and confident. My eyes have been itching for a while and I thought it was allergies but then I woke up Tuesday with really red and swollen eyes. I bought some eye drops and was putting cortisone on them but when they were  looking worse Wednesday morning I made the painful decision to have them removed. I was so sad but decided that my eye health was more important then having long full lashes so off they came. It is a lot sad not having them on any more but I hope my eyes feel and look better fast.
Kefford was taking Ryker's pickup to have something looked at and I had to follow behind him so that I could take him home. I took a couple of pictures of him from behind because I thought he looked pretty cute driving the pick up so casual.
Avynlea and Rylee went to Emmett to stay with their cousins for a couple of days. I know they had a lot of fun and Brit sent me pictures of them having a dress up dance party with their Emmett cousins.

Avynlea and Rylee went with Brielle on a hike with her mutual group and were able to get a picture to also send to me.
Ryker has been working and playing out at the farm and one evening he and Bailey were messing around on the four wheelers jumping them and doing tricks when Ryker wrecked and hurt his knee. His knee got really swollen and felt pretty squishy and gross but we didn't't take him in to the Dr because he was able to walk with it and he didn't feel a lot of pain. He has just been icing it and keeping it elevated and that has been helping.  Hopefully that is the extent of our injuries this summer.

Mixed Tape Tour

Tuesday I had just gotten off the phone with Heather when I got a text from Jessica asking if I had anything going on that night. I replied no and then she asked if I wanted to go to a New Kids On the Block concert with her and some other girls from the ward. I was in the car with Kefford and when I mentioned it to him he encouraged me to go so I said yes. I then had an hour to get home and get ready before I was to be picked up for this concert. I put on my overalls with my rainbow tee underneath and my pink converse and then I put my hair in a high pony and I was feeling pretty 80's without being too costumer and was ready to go. Jessica had bought cheap choker necklaces for us all so when I got picked up I got one of those to put on. Jessica, Katie, Emily and Lisa were the other ones going to the concert. Kim was going to go but had to back out and it was her ticket that I took. I am ok with not being asked initially because I probably would have talked myself out of going, being asked last minute meant I didn't have too much time to think about it.
It was a fun concert with all the 80's bands we knew and loved. I did not know a lot of the songs but I did recognize a good amount which was fun to sing along to. My favorite was "I think we're alone now" by Tiffany. I remember loving that song in elementary school and it was fun to see her perform it in concert.

Elizabeth, Emily Walker, Jessica Lewis, Katie Givens and Lisa Elder
I had a great time rocking out with these girls and am glad that I was asked to go and was included.

Cousins!

Danny Ricks, our Bishop from the Verona Ward, is moving to Rexburg and before he left he wanted a picture with all the men he served in the Bishopric with. Since Kefford was a part of that group he headed over to the church early to be in the picture. These are all great men and we feel lucky to have been able to get to know them and for Kefford to have served with them.
Jason Anderson, Kefford Peterson, Renn Lamm, Brett Hamm, Brent Blazek, Danny Ricks, Steve Thompson and Jeff Myers

Rylee came down one morning with  little bit of a swollen eye. It didn't really hurt too much and we weren't sure why it was swollen but I had her put cold compresses on it because I thought it might be a sty. It went away after a couple of days with no damage done.
We went to Nyssa so we could watch Bailey be set apart as an Elder and after we went to Bob and Alison's for lunch. Amelia was being really fun and social with me so I took a couple of pictures of her and us together.
After we left the farm we got home and then decided maybe we should go visit Mikell and Steve and their family. We had fun visiting with them despite Mikell not feeling too well and Kefford and all the kids had fun playing on their Nintendo Switch.
Tuesday I went with Whitney and Brit to the Boise Temple where Bailey was going through of rot first time. Avynlea and Rylee stayed at home and watched Kinsley and Laney for Whitney and Garrett and Caleb for Michelle and Trevor who dropped them off after we left. I was a little worried about the girls e=being able to handle the kids but they did great and the kids wee really good for them. Ryker had a dental appointment ad after he got home was able to help out a little by playing with Caleb and Garrett.
Kinsley sneezed out a ton of snot andAvynlea thought it was so funny she had to take a picture of it..gross.
