Snow Baby

This little one is ready for the winter snow!

She pulled this coat out and put it on so she could go play outside the other day. It was pretty cold out but I don't think it was cold enough for this coat.

Isn't she adorable?!

Letterboxing?

This past week the kids had Thursday and Friday off from school. Now normally I really dread these days off from school because it is just alot of bored kids sitting around at home bugging me. But I had a friend from California move up here recently and she suggested we get together and do Letterboxing. Letterboxing is this crazy nationwide thing where people leave clues on the Internet and you follow the clues to find a hidden box that has a stamp and notebook in it. You are supposed to bring your own stamp and you leave your mark in the book and then stamp your own book with the stamp you find. Once you are done you put it all back where you found it so that someone else can find it. They have these boxes hidden all over the country and anybody can do it. Go to Letterboxing.org for more info.

So we went with the Grogans and found it surprisingly fun!

We found our first box at the Joplin cemetery hidden under this tree.

The second box was also found at the cemetery behind this tombstone also under a tree.

The box was missing from its place at this park but the kids really got into throwing big rocks into the pond that was out there. We spent a little over an hour with them throwing rocks.

Good throw Rylee!

Avynlea took a break to rest her throwing arm!

The third box was found by the Meridian Water Tower under one of the big logs.

The last one we hunted for and found was at another cemetery, the Meridian cemetery. It was hidden in a hole inside the tree!
This was a really fun activity and I would recommend it to anyone who has bored kids looking for something to do. We hunted for seven boxes and out of the seven only found four, but it was something we will definitely do again!

Spoooky Cupcakes

Last night for Young Womens the Beehive class did cake decorating. We asked Sister Marlene Terry, the ward wedding cake maker :0), if she would come and show the girls how to decorate cakes. She agreed and came really prepared with fun projects to do. We learned how to do a shell border using a star tip and we made this cute halloween spider and fun graveyard out of the cupcakes. We had the best time, Marlene is one of my most favorite people and she made learning how to pipe frosting so much fun. She sent us all home with some great ideas, a star tip, a grass making tip, plus a couple of bags of frosting.

We actually molded our own pumpkins out of modeling chocolate and then used a leaf tip to give it leaves. Mine turned out so cute but I ate them before I thought to take a picture. So for the sake of the picture I used some candy pumpkins. Just imagine how cute my own pumpkins were on top of the cake!

I think I found my new winter time pastime!

prima ballerina

I finally was able to sign Kenedy and Avynlea up for dance lessons. They have been so excited and already 3 weeks into it and are still loving what they do! I took some pictures of Avynlea in her dance class but didn't do Kenedy. I want to but feel a little dumb taking pictures of her cause she is in the older class and apparently it is not cool to hang around taking pictures. Kenedy didn't tell me that I just feel that way, especially since I am the only Mom who hangs around to watch. But I did get some cute shots of Avynlea. She is adorable and loves to come home and show off what she learned!

Here she is getting a good stretch. Look at how limber she already is!

More stretching going on!

This is the part she loves the best, the leaps across the room. Her teacher is a very good friend of mine whom I have known for 10 years. I danced with her in LaGrande and am actually taking an adult class at the studio from her.
I love dancing and I love watching my little girls discover their own love for it.

I want a cooool rider. A cool, cool, cool, cool rider!

A couple of weekends ago Kefford borrowed a motorcycle from some friends of ours and took me out on one hot date. I have never been on a road bike before and it was a little scary driving down the streets of Meridian and Boise with nothing to protect me from the other cars except, well, nothing! But I got used to it, overcame the fear, put my trust in Kefford and had a really great time!

This is one hot couple!
I'm a stud, oh yeah, check me out!

Rylee!

These two girls get along great and are usually the best of friends. But it amazes me how quickly Rylee has figured out how to "try" to get out of trouble by blaming her sister.
Case in point:

Kefford and I are downstairs watching a movie after putting the kids to bed. Suddenly Rylee and Avynlea come wandering downstairs.

Kefford:(spoken without looking at the girls) Who got out of bed and is going to get a spanking?

Rylee: Avy did!! (immediately turning and running back upstairs. leaving her sister behind)

and while at the farm this occurred.

Rylee and Avynlea were playing with their cousin Ally when Rylee suddenly screamed about something.

Grandpa Bob: Who is that doing all the screaming? (spoken in his lovable gruff voice)

Rylee: Avy did!

Rylee is always quick to throw Avynlea under the bus and it always makes us laugh. She is definitely a quick learner!

Ryker!

This last weekend Ryker got to go by himself to spend a couple days at the farm with his Grandpa and Grandma. He was returned to us Sunday evening and while we were out on our walk this was a little bit of our conversation.

Me: So Ryker I am glad you had a fun weekend but you must be really pooped aren't ya?

Ryker: Umm I only pooped one time while at the farm but I peed about six times.

Me:(Laughing Hysterically) Ok!

What a funny misinterpretation of my comment. But on a side note what a kid for being able to keep track of the amount of times he used the restroom!
