Later that night

After Ryker's Baptism we came home and Kefford and I gave Ryker his Baptism gift.

A new set of Scriptures with a new Scripture Case. I would like it to be known that it is very hard to find a cute Scripture Case for a boy. Lots and lots of girlie cases but the cases for boys is severely lacking! Ryker was super excited to get his own set of nice Scriptures and I swear he has been carrying them around non-stop ever since he opened them!

Kefford told Ryker we would go out to eat in honor of his Baptism and that he got to pick where we were to go. With visions of his gift card on his brain Ryker chose Dairy Queen. He was super excited because he could pay for us all! Kefford told him we could go there but that Kefford would pay and so Ryker could save his card for another day. Yeah! So off we went!

Rylee really wanted to sit with her Daddy so they got a table to themselves. So sweet!

Us adult girls got our own table.

We are loads of fun!

And then of course The younger girls had their own table.

The big deal after eating the kids meal is they got to pick a treat. Rylee got the ice-cream cone and when Avynlea decided she didn't want the treat she picked Rylee quickly volunteered to take it.

Of course she could not finish all of the ice-cream and kept trying to pawn it off onto me. So I took a couple of bites and then I think Kefford ate the rest of it.

Ryker got Baptized!

On Saturday Ryker was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I got there a little bit late because I had to pick up Avynlea from a birthday party and so this was the only picture I got of Ryker in his Baptismal whites. I would have liked more but at least I got this one.

Ryker did really good and only had to get dunked once. He has been so excited and really looking forward to this day and I am so happy that he made this choice. We had a lot of family come for this event and after the Baptism I was able to get most of them to take a picture with Ryker.

I am so proud of my little guy and I love him so much!

Rykers Grandma and Grandpa Peterson gave him a giant bag of skittles and a giftcard to Dairy Queen! Lucky boy!

I am really glad that Ryker is a part of our family and I am grateful for his good example to the rest of us!

Wat to go Ryker!!!

Gingerbread Houses!

A Peterson tradition that we all enjoy is decorating Gingerbread Houses on Thanksgiving. Kefford always complains about it but I think he secretly enjoys it since he sticks with it and keeps the frosting going so we can put candy on.

The kits that Alison gets are better and better every year. The house comes already put together and this year when we opened the box we found that the frosting was already mixed up. Score for us, the mixing of the frosting was always the worst part. I love these new kits!

Rylee was front and center all ready for the decorating.

Kefford was in charge of the frosting while the rest of us put the candies on.

I gave Avynlea the gingerbread men to decorate which she was excited about.

Ryker also got one of the men but it came from Mikell's kit, she was very kind to share.

Joshua came over and helped out also!

Ryker worked really hard on his cookie.

He made a happy gingerbread man...

and it could also be a mad face gingerbread man.

Joshua got clever and made the windows give a cheery HO, HO, HO!

I got creative and made my signature palm tree, using Twix for the trunk and green gum drop leaves for the fronds.

How cute is that tree? Oh man so cute!

Avynlea finished her cookie and I think did a mighty fine job.

Then she took a big bite out of it, it tasted as good as it looked!

Rylee was the best decorator and stayed with the house until it was absolutely perfect. She had so much fun and did a good job putting the candies on.

At one point Rylee turned to me and with a sad face stated that nobody liked her decorations. I assured her she did a good job and then told others they better tell her also. What,s with the kid needing so much validation?

She is kind of cute!

Once it was all done Rylee was ready to take a big bite out of it!

It sure did look delicious!

Joshua and I thought it would be a good idea to put some red hots in our apple juice. The idea sounded really tasty but the taste was not so great. Bummer.

Kenedy wanted a nibble also. :0) I think we did the best job on ours. Great team work and lots of fun!
